While accessing certain applications that requires Installation of the Lotus Notes Email client, you may have faced errors like:

"Lotus Notes NOT installed/configured properly."

In this case, We will suggest you to open NSF file by double clicking so as to check if your NSF file has been encrypted or not. So, while opening the NSF file by double clicking it, you get errors like:

• "You are not authorized to access that database."
• "Local Access Protection"

Then your NSF file is said to be encrypted.

First, create a replica using medium encryption

Next under Application choose Properties

Now remove the database encryption

Step 4

To obtain the database without encryption, two methods are available

1. Delete the database and create new replica without encryption

2. Remove the encryption from the existing database
• Goto File
• Under Application, Choose properties

• Click on Encryption Settings from the Info tab of the Database properties

• Check Do not locally encrypt using...
• Then click ok

Now the encryption is removed and now you can initiate the compaction
