How to Add an Existing Outlook Data File in Outlook?

Follow Steps to Add an PST file to your Profile

The steps to open an existing data file in your profile are similar in all versions of Outlook but the dialogs are different. Here we will show add existing PST to your profile in Microsoft Outlook 2007.

Step 1

  • Open Microsoft Outlook 2007.
  • Go to File menu, click on Tools and then click Account Settings.

Step 2

  • A dialogue window will be open.
  • Go to Data Files and click on Add.

Step 3

A window will be open from where you can select existing PST to add your profile or go to that folder in which existing PST file is located, select it and click on OK.

Step 4

Now a window will be open where click on OK.

An existing PST file will added to your profile. Now you can access items of that PST in Outlook.
